About the Emerald Society
The United Phoenix Firefighters Emerald Society was formed in
1987, and includes all of the community fire departments within
the Phoenix mutual aid system.
The Emerald Society has hosted many fundraisers, including the
annual Horseshoe Tournament, with the proceeds benefiting
Habitat for Humanity, Arizona Foundation for Burns and Trauma,
The San Patricios Society, The Irish Cultural Center, and
others. For admittance, you need not be Irish by blood but only
Irish by heart!
